Vladimir Makatsaria is the current Company Group Chairman of Ethicon at Johnson & Johnson Medical Devices. Makatsaria has been with Johnson & Johnson since 1996, holding various sales and marketing positions before being promoted to Managing Director of Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States in 2001. In 2007, Makatsaria was promoted to Vice President of Strategic Affairs for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa before being promoted again in 2008 to Area Director of Eastern Europe. In 2009, Makatsaria became President of Europe, the Middle East, and Africa before taking on the role of Global Integration Leader in 2011. In 2013, Makatsaria was promoted to Company Group Chairman of Medical Devices Asia Pacific before becoming Chairman of China in 2016. Vladimir Makatsaria has a Master's Degree in Healthcare Administration and an MBA in Strategic Management from the University of Minnesota - Carlson School of Management. Vladimir also has a Bachelor's Degree in Physiology, General from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. Their manager is Ashley McEvoy, EVP & Worldwide Chairman, Medical Devices.
