My broad research interests lie in understanding the combination of biological factors and patient behaviours, specifically dietary behaviour, and their roles in obesity and weight loss, as key information to develop and test innovative personalised therapies for obesity. I combine observational and experimental studies focused on exploring the physiological and psychological changes occurring during an altered states of extreme weight reduction, such as those induced by weight loss surgery.
