Dr. Rafael Garcia-Duperly is a Colorectal surgeon at the Hospital Universitario Fundación Santafe de Bogota and is Ad – honorem lecturer at the Bosque University. He was past-chief of the colorectal Unit at Fundacion Santafe from 2004 until 2015.
Is past-president of the Colombian colorectal association 2003-2005. He pioneered laparoscopic colorectal surgery since 1993 and has given multiple lectures in Colombia and in Latin-America and Brazil as well as preceptor in laparoscopic surgery in central and south America. His primary areas of interest are laparoscopic and robotic colorectal surgery and inflammatory bowel disease.
