Dr. Rachel Moore is a private practice bariatric surgeon who is board-certified in both obesity medicine and surgery, and her special research interest is endolumenal treatments for obesity. She is the immediate past-President of the Louisiana chapter of the American College of Surgeons, the co-chair of the ASMBS Program Committee, and a former member of the ASMBS Executive Council. Dr. Moore was the founding President of the Louisiana chapter of the ASMBS and has been on its board since its inception. She lives in New Orleans with her husband, bariatric surgeon Michael Thomas, and their three children.
