Dr. Elizabeth Pando Rau


I did my undergraduate training at the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos, Lima, Peru, doing part of my training stay at the Edgardo Rebagliati Martins Hospital, Pancreatic Surgery Service (2006-2007), working in clinical research in the field of cancer pancreas and acute pancreatitis. I specialized in General Surgery and the Digestive System at the Hospital Clínic de Barcelona between 2009-2014. Subsequently, I completed a specialization training stay in Hepatobiliopancreatic Surgery (June 2015-October 2015) at the Academic Medical Center, Amsterdam, the Netherlands, a pioneering European center in the study of pancreatic diseases, Since November 2015, he has been part of the Hepatobiliopancreatic Surgery and Transplantation team at Vall d'Hebron Hospital, where I have focused with special interest on the area of ​​locally advanced pancreatic cancer and acute pancreatitis, initiating several studies in these areas in international collaboration and also as part of the adult and pediatric liver transplant team. My thesis in progress at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. is entitled: "New predictors of severity of Acute Pancreatitis at the Vall d'Hebron University Hospital".
